Unable to stop the blasphemous ritual that stole far more than anyone could know, in this third year of the Kendrick storyline, Karen, Reginald and their allies are now faced with a supremely powerful enemy who is targeting all of the supernatural groups in Kendrick, one by one. As each falls, the Avatar of Anu grows stronger and Karen is left to defend her city with fewer and fewer allies. Not to mention a secondary enemy in the Kendrick's Police Force known as the Special Unit lead by a man who wants to wipe out all supernaturals in Kendrick regardless of their intent to the City. However, Karen and her allies are not without their own plans and powers. The Children of Anu must be stopped and they must pay for what they have done to the city of Kendrick and those who dwell within. Karen has an ally in the Special Unit and she is believes she can turn the City's enemies on each other. With this and her owe retribution to hand out for the offenses against the Kendrick, this is a threat and promise that Karen is determined to keep no matter the cost. 25 - Shades of Grey - As the new year begins in Kendrick, all is not well. In fact, far from it for some of the denizens of this fair and unusual city. The Master of the City has noticed. So have others. All are taking steps to investigate and combat the growing darkness. 26 - Broken - As one of the oldest powers in Kendrick is broken, an alliance is revealed. Though, that alliance may not be as strong as some believe. An olive branch is scorned and a familiar face returns. 27 - Keystones - As the Lady of the Grey Manor and her people are forced out of Kendrick, the avatar of Anu returns the Stewart family power to them before turning her attention to the next victim of her campaign - the Gargoyles of Kendrick. Meanwhile, some of those in the know work in secret to save these silent city guardians. 28 - Observations - David and Aaron have an eventful meeting based on something Aaron has seen about Doctor Mercer. Because of it, David does something unexpected and sees something he does not understand but knows is important. John Corso receives a package for Karen. 29 - May Day - Powers are gathering to fight the avatar of Anu while mere mortals are being forced to chose sides in this battle they do not understand. First blood is struck to unknown consequences. 30 - Entropy - As things come together for those allied against the avatar of Anu, the host of the god is forced to order sacrifices before their time. The foundation of Kendrick is about to be rocked to its core. 31 - The Past and Present Collide - While Karen and John grapple with the reappearance of Aaron in Kendrick and his newfound friendship with David, a great victory is made against the Children of Anu at the ultimate sacrifice of one. 32 - Absorption - Though wounded, the Avatar of Anu is not defeated. In fact, he strikes out with lethal force in order to survive. The Grey Lady delivers a disturbing prophecy and several people plan to deal with Doctor Mercer. In the second year of the Kendrick storyline, we discovered that once you deal with the devil you know, the devil you don't know can be so much worse. After the Order of the Sacred Eye was defeated and placed in the hands of people who honestly wanted to do good for Kendrick, a new enemy rose. Unchecked, the Children of Anu followed the path laid out by their God to bring about the prophesized year of his return. This required sacrifices from both Kendrick and the Children.
